Great Lakes Laser Dynamics was started in 2000 by Bill Herberg, Jim Scholten, and Ken Koster. Today, we are a growing corporation whose success is attributed to hard work, dedication, and great employees. We believe that our employees are our company's most valuable assets.  Great Lakes Laser Dynamics is committed to providing quality products and services that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations and to continually monitor, measure, and improve our Quality Management System.

We aim to increase the productivity of our customers by offering a laser cutting resource that delivers high quality products with on time delivery at a competitive price. We will achieve this end by striving to fully automate laser cutting and by streamlining operations from initial customer inquiry through shipment of order and completion or project. We are dedicated to developing long term, mutually beneficial business relationships with our customers by creating exceptional value in their products through quality of goods and services.

Our Facility
  • Two overhead cranes for loading and unloading raw material.

  • Extensive exhaust system to the lasers for employee safety, workplace cleanliness and galvanized steel cutting.

  • Located in Grand Rapids in the heart of West Michigan to service Chicago to Detroit with our own fleet of trucks.

  • Total square footage is 88,000 currently with 24' ceilings.  Designed for expansion capabilities up to 168,000 sq.ft.

  • Skylights, windows, and overhead florescent lighting provide a bright manufacturing environment for quality and inspection.
